Tula State Medical University,  Tula State University (TulSU) is the largest state university in Central Russia and Established in 1930. Actively responding to the challenges of the time, the university is developing dynamically, while remaining faithful to classical traditions. Today, the university has more than 16,000 students, more than 440 graduate students, 11 doctoral students, over 110 residents and over 100 interns. There are more than 700 citizens from 50 countries among foreign students.

 

Today, Tula State University is one of the leading universities in the country, the center of science, education and culture of the region. In the ranking of classical universities in Russia, the university is in the top twenty. According to the assessment of universities in terms of employment of their graduates, conducted by the All-Russian public organization "Business Russia" together with VTsIOM, Tula State University entered the highest alpha league together with 25 other universities (mainly Moscow and St. Petersburg).

The mission of  "TulSU" to ensure educational, scientific and technological leadership of the Tula region in certain areas of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation by generating knowledge and consolidating intellectual resources, fully promoting the development and realization of the personnel, scientific and production potential of the defense and other high-tech industries in the country.

 

Educational process today

 

In the educational market of the region, Tula State University is represented by a unique set of services. The University trains certified specialists in 150 areas and specialties of military-technical, technological, mining and construction, computer-information, natural science, economic, legal, socio-humanitarian and medical profiles. Training is conducted by more than 1,200 teachers, including 237 doctors of sciences, professors and 717 candidates of sciences, associate professors.

 

International activities

 

International cooperation plays an important role in the activities of the university. The university in academic and scientific areas is associated with organizations of more than 20 countries, including universities in the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, China, Poland.
